Elindus Arena
The Elindus Arena is the modern home of SV Zulte-Waregem, located at Zuiderlaan 17 in Waregem, a town in the West Flanders province of Belgium. The stadium holds 12,500 spectators and opened in 2009, replacing the older Regenboogstadion that had previously served the club. Built as a purpose-designed football venue on the southern outskirts of Waregem, the Elindus Arena provided the club with greatly improved facilities and a clean, modern aesthetic. Naming rights are held by Elindus, a Belgian construction and property group.
Zulte-Waregem were formed in 2001 through the merger of SC Zulte and SV Waregem, two local clubs from the Waregem municipality on the River Leie. Despite the club's relatively short history in its current form, they have established themselves as a consistent Pro League presence and have achieved notable successes. The club won the Belgian Cup in 2006 and 2014, qualifying for European football on both occasions. Their UEFA Cup campaign in 2006-07 was a landmark moment, with the club performing admirably against continental opponents and demonstrating that Belgian clubs outside the traditional elite could compete in Europe.
The Elindus Arena has become a well-regarded Pro League venue, offering supporters a comfortable and modern matchday experience in a compact, well-organised setting. The club's fanbase is loyal and vocal, and the stadium regularly attracts near-capacity crowds for big matches. Waregem itself is a prosperous town in the Flemish heartland, known for horse racing at the Waregem Koerse circuit, and this broader sporting culture has contributed to a healthy sporting community that supports the football club. Zulte-Waregem continue to be a constructive, ambitious presence in Belgian football from their modern home ground.
