Piast Gliwice – Club History

Piast Gliwice is a Polish football club from Gliwice, an industrial city in the Upper Silesia region of southern Poland. The club achieved the greatest moment in their history when they won the Polish Ekstraklasa championship in 2019 – their first and only title – qualifying them for the UEFA Champions League qualifying rounds for the first time. Playing in white and blue, Piast's 2019 championship was built on excellent organisation and consistent performance under coach Waldemar Fornalik. The title was a huge achievement for a club that had never won the Polish championship before.
