NK Slaven Belupo (formerly NK Slaven Koprivnica) was founded in 1975 in Koprivnica, a city in the Podravina region of northern Croatia. The club is sponsored by and named after the pharmaceutical company Belupo, one of Croatia's leading pharmaceutical manufacturers based in Koprivnica. Playing in blue and yellow, Slaven Belupo have been consistent Croatian First Football League participants and represent the agricultural and industrial communities of northern Croatia.
