FC Poltava is a Ukrainian football club from Poltava, a historic city in the Poltava Oblast of central Ukraine, famous for the Battle of Poltava in 1709 where Peter the Great defeated Charles XII of Sweden. The club competed in the Ukrainian Premier League and represents the historic Poltava region. Playing in white and blue, Poltava brought top-flight football to one of Ukraine's historically significant cities. Like all Ukrainian clubs, the team has faced extraordinary challenges since the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine.
