IK Sirius FK – Club History

IK Sirius FK was founded in 1907 in Uppsala, Sweden's fourth-largest city and home to Uppsala University, one of the world's oldest and most prestigious universities. Playing in blue and yellow (the colours of both Uppsala and Sweden), Sirius earned promotion to the Allsvenskan in 2016 after decades in the lower divisions, and have maintained top-flight presence since then. The club's connections to Uppsala University give them an intellectual and cultural character unusual in Swedish football, and their Studenternas IP stadium reflects the university city's sporting traditions.
