AC Reggiana – Club History
AC Reggiana was founded in 1919 in Reggio Emilia, a city in the Emilia-Romagna region of northern Italy known for its Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese production. The club plays in granata (dark red) and has had periods in Serie A, with their most celebrated modern era in the early 1990s when they competed in Serie A after promotion and won the Coppa Italia in 1996 in a remarkable result. Reggiana's return to Serie B in 2023 after many years away was celebrated across the city.
