Brøndby Idrætsforening, commonly known as Brøndby IF or simply Brøndby, is one of Denmark's most successful and widely supported football clubs. Founded in 1964 through the merger of Brøndbyøster IF and Brøndbyvester IF in the suburban district of Brøndby, located on the western outskirts of Copenhagen, the club has grown from its modest origins to become a dominant force in Danish football and a regular participant in European competition.
