Raiffeisen Arena
LASK plays at Raiffeisen Arena, a modern stadium located in Pasching, a municipality on the outskirts of Linz, the capital of Upper Austria and Austria's third-largest city. The ground opened in 2019 and has a capacity of 19,080 spectators, designed to modern UEFA standards with full seating, a complete roof, and excellent facilities for players and spectators. LASK had previously played at the Linzer Stadion in the city centre, but the construction of the purpose-built Raiffeisen Arena represented a significant step forward for the club's infrastructure and ambitions. The name comes from a sponsorship deal with Raiffeisen, the Austrian banking and agricultural cooperative group.
LASK has been one of the most exciting stories in Austrian football in recent years, rising from the lower tiers of Austrian football in the 1990s and 2000s to become a regular challenger for the Austrian Bundesliga title. Their UEFA Europa League group stage participation in 2019–20 brought European competition to the then-newly opened Raiffeisen Arena, with fixtures against Manchester United, AZ Alkmaar, and Partizan Beograd generating significant excitement across Austria. LASK also qualified for the Europa League in subsequent seasons and has consistently performed in European qualifying rounds, raising the profile of Linz football across the continent.
The Raiffeisen Arena's modern design creates an impressive matchday environment for a club that has rapidly established itself among Austria's elite. Linz, as Austria's industrial heartland and an important cultural city on the Danube, provides a strong footballing base with a population of around 200,000 in the city itself and considerably more in the greater metropolitan area. LASK's supporter culture is growing rapidly alongside the club's on-pitch achievements, and the Raiffeisen Arena has quickly become an important fixture on the Austrian football calendar — a modern venue befitting one of the country's most ambitious clubs.
