Swedbank Stadion

Swedbank Stadion

Malmö, Eric Persson väg 1 22,500 capacity

Malmö FF plays at Eleda Stadion (formerly known as Swedbank Stadion and other commercial names), a modern football-specific arena located in Malmö, Sweden's third-largest city and southernmost major urban centre, separated from Copenhagen by the Øresund strait. The stadium opened in 2009 with a capacity of 22,500 spectators and was purpose-built to modern UEFA standards following the demolition of the old Malmö Stadion. Eleda Stadion has served as the venue for Malmö FF's remarkable resurgence as a major force in both Swedish and European football during the 2010s and 2020s.

Malmö FF is the most decorated club in Swedish football history by number of championship titles, having won Allsvenskan 24 times. The club's most celebrated period internationally was in 1979, when they became the first Scandinavian club to reach the UEFA European Cup final, losing 1–0 to Nottingham Forest. More recently, under managers including Åge Hareide and Torsten Frick, Malmö have returned to the UEFA Champions League group stage on multiple occasions in the 2010s and 2020s, with Eleda Stadion hosting historic European nights against clubs including Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Juventus. The young Erling Haaland's only competitive career goals in Sweden were scored at Eleda Stadion during a Champions League qualifying match for Molde.

Eleda Stadion represents one of Scandinavia's finest purpose-built football arenas. Its design creates a compact, enclosed environment that generates exceptional atmosphere, and the stadium regularly sells out for major Allsvenskan and European matches. Malmö's location near Copenhagen and its significant immigrant population — including many supporters with football cultures from across the world — gives Malmö FF a cosmopolitan supporter base that adds vibrancy to the Eleda Stadion experience. As Sweden's most successful club continues to pursue excellence in both domestic and European football, Eleda Stadion provides the ideal platform for those ambitions.
