Deutsche Bank Park

Frankfurt am Main, Mörfelder Landstraße 362 58,000 capacity

Deutsche Bank Park is the impressive home of Eintracht Frankfurt, situated at Morfelder Landstrasse 362 in the Sachsenhausen-Sud district of Frankfurt am Main, in the state of Hesse. The stadium holds 58,000 spectators and has been Frankfurt's home ground since 1925, though the structure has been progressively rebuilt from that era to the modern facility that exists today. Known over the years as the Waldstadion, the Commerzbank-Arena, and various other names, the ground adopted its current Deutsche Bank Park identity in 2018. The stadium was substantially rebuilt and reopened in 2005 as a state-of-the-art venue with a fully retractable roof and natural grass pitch, serving as one of the host venues for the 2006 FIFA World Cup.

Eintracht Frankfurt have a rich European history and the Deutsche Bank Park has been the stage for their remarkable recent achievements. The club won the DFB-Pokal in 2018 and then, extraordinarily, the UEFA Europa League in 2022 under coach Oliver Glasner - their first European trophy since the 1980 UEFA Cup. The Europa League triumph, culminating in a penalty shootout victory over Rangers at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan in Seville, prompted scenes of ecstatic celebration in Frankfurt and at the ground. Frankfurt subsequently played in the 2022-23 Champions League, bringing the continent's elite competition to Deutsche Bank Park. Earlier history includes the Waldstadion hosting two World Cup matches in 1974 and serving as a key venue for the German national team.

The stadium's retractable roof is one of its most distinctive features and ensures matches take place in optimal conditions regardless of weather. Deutsche Bank Park holds a record attendance of 58,000 and is consistently among the Bundesliga's best-attended grounds. The south stand creates an intense atmosphere, and Frankfurt's passionate fanbase - which travels in extraordinary numbers across Europe - generates a matchday experience renowned throughout the continent. The stadium hosted matches during Euro 2024, further cementing its position as one of Germany's great sporting venues.
