WSG Tirol – Club History

WSG Tirol (Wacker Swarovski Innsbruck, later WSG Tirol) is an Austrian football club from the Wattens municipality near Innsbruck, representing the Tyrolean region of western Austria. The club, with strong connections to the Swarovski crystal company which is headquartered in Wattens, earned promotion to the Austrian Bundesliga and established themselves as competitive top-flight participants. Playing in yellow and black, WSG Tirol represent a surprising entry into Austrian top-flight football and have used their Swarovski Arena compact home to create strong matchday atmospheres.
