IFK Värnamo – Club History

IFK Värnamo was founded in 1919 in Värnamo, a small city in the Jönköping County of Småland, Sweden. The club achieved promotion to the Allsvenskan for the first time in their history in 2022, completing a journey that took them from the lower divisions of Swedish football to the top flight. Playing in blue and yellow, Värnamo represent the textile-manufacturing traditions of the Gnosjö industrial region and are another example of the small-community clubs that make Swedish football's league system one of the most open and meritocratic in European football.
