Team History

Halmstads BK – Club History

Halmstads BK was founded in 1914 in Halmstad, a coastal city in the Halland region of southwestern Sweden. The club has won the Allsvenskan on four occasions – 1976, 1979, 1997, and 2000 – placing them among Sweden's more decorated clubs. Playing in blue and yellow, Halmstad have had extended top-flight periods and competed in European football through their championships. Their Örjans Vall stadium provides a pleasant coastal setting for Swedish football. The club is particularly associated with producing the Andersson brothers – Kennet and Andreas – who both played for Sweden.
