CARTeam History
Carrarese Calcio – Club History
Carrarese Calcio was founded in 1908 in Carrara, a city in the Tuscany region of northern Italy famous worldwide for its white marble quarries – the same marble used by Michelangelo for his most celebrated sculptures. Playing in azure blue (celesteste), the club has had periods in Italy's professional divisions and has recently worked through Serie C to reach Serie B. Carrara's unique identity as the marble city of the world gives their football club a distinctive cultural backdrop, and the local community's passion for the Azzurri has sustained professional football in this artisanal city.
