Antalyaspor – Club History

Antalyaspor was founded in 1966 in Antalya, Turkey's major Mediterranean resort city on the southern Turkish Riviera. The Akrepler (Scorpions), named for the club's scorpion badge, have been a consistent Turkish Süper Lig presence across multiple decades, representing a city primarily known for tourism rather than football. Playing in red and white stripes, Antalyaspor have attracted players from across the world to their stunning Mediterranean setting, including some big-name late-career signings that have generated international attention and given the club a cosmopolitan character unusual for a Turkish provincial side.
