Real Oviedo

The Estadio Carlos Tartiere is the home of Real Oviedo, located in the city of Oviedo, the capital of the Principality of Asturias in northern Spain. The current stadium — the second to bear the name Carlos Tartiere — was opened in 2000 and has a capacity of approximately 30,500 spectators. It replaced the original Tartiere, which had stood since 1936. The stadium is named in honour of Carlos Tartiere, a pioneering aviator and passionate supporter of the club who died in a plane crash in 1919.

Real Oviedo is one of Spanish football's most storied clubs, with a history stretching back to 1926. The original Tartiere was a place of significant history, witnessing the club's top-flight campaigns and producing several notable players. The modern stadium, with its distinctive architecture and blue-tinted canopy, continues that legacy as Oviedo have sought to regain their place among Spain's elite. The stadium is located in the western part of Oviedo, near the Parque del Oeste. Its record attendance in the modern era is approximately 29,000.
