Córdoba CF – Club History
Córdoba CF was founded in 1954 in Córdoba, one of Andalusia's most historically magnificent cities, home to the Great Mosque (Mezquita) and the stunning medieval Jewish Quarter. Playing in white and green, Córdoba have had periods in La Liga, most recently competing in the Spanish top flight in the 2014–15 season after their promotion via the Segunda División play-offs. Despite their modest resources, Córdoba's La Liga season was celebrated across the city, and the club's beautiful Estadio El Arcángel provides an atmospheric home in the Guadalquivir river valley.
