Real Sociedad II Stadium

Estadio Zubieta XXI
Real Sociedad II (Sanse) plays at the Estadio Municipal de Zubieta, the training complex and reserve stadium of Real Sociedad, located in Zubieta, a municipality in Gipuzkoa in the Basque Country, near San Sebastián. The stadium has a modest capacity and primarily serves as the home for the reserve team that competes in La Liga 2. Real Sociedad's reserve team — known as Real Sociedad B or Sanse (after the club's historical use of Basque and Spanish names) — uses the facility to develop players from the club's highly regarded academy while competing at a professional level in the Spanish second tier.
Real Sociedad's academy system is regarded as one of the finest in Spain, having produced players including Xabi Alonso, Mikel Arteta, Antoine Griezmann (who developed there before joining), Mikel Oyarzabal, and many other internationals. The reserve team's participation in La Liga 2 provides an important developmental bridge for players working their way through the system toward the first team. Sanse has had multiple La Liga 2 campaigns over the years, giving academy graduates the experience of competitive professional football before they either step up to the first team or move elsewhere in the professional game.
The Zubieta facility is one of Spain's finest football development campuses, with multiple pitches, state-of-the-art training facilities, and sports science support for all levels of the Real Sociedad system. The reserve team's La Liga 2 participation at this venue provides an authentic professional football environment for young Basque players developing within the Real Sociedad system. San Sebastián's status as one of Spain's most culturally sophisticated cities — home to the world's greatest concentration of Michelin-starred restaurants and the internationally acclaimed San Sebastián International Film Festival — provides an extraordinary backdrop for the development of football talent in the Basque Country.
