FC Metalist 1925 Kharkiv – Club History
FC Metalist 1925 Kharkiv is a Ukrainian football club established as a separate legal entity from the original Metalist Kharkiv, preserving the football tradition in Kharkiv under the "1925" branding that references the founding year of Kharkiv's historical football tradition. Following the legal and financial complications surrounding the original Metalist (which had achieved remarkable Europa League quarter-final success in 2013), Metalist 1925 was established to continue football in Ukraine's second city. Playing in yellow and blue, the club has worked through Ukrainian football's divisions to re-establish Kharkiv's football presence despite the immense challenges of the ongoing conflict in eastern Ukraine.
