FC Polissya Zhytomyr is a Ukrainian football club from Zhytomyr, the capital of the Zhytomyr Oblast in northern Ukraine, near the Polissya (Polesie) forested region. The club is named after this iconic Ukrainian landscape. After a long period in lower Ukrainian divisions, Polissya earned promotion to the Ukrainian Premier League and competed in the top flight as one of the newest entrants to Ukrainian professional football's elite tier. Playing in blue and yellow, Polissya represent the forests and communities of northern Ukraine and have faced immense challenges since the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine.
