Palermo FC calls the Stadio Renzo Barbera its home, a major stadium located in the La Favorita public park in Palermo, Sicily. Originally opened in 1932 as Stadio della Favorita and later renamed in honour of former club president Renzo Barbera, the stadium has a current capacity of 36,349, making it one of the larger grounds in southern Italy. With its distinctive four-stand design and location within a large urban park, the Barbera has hosted top-flight Italian football, international matches, and major concerts over the decades, serving as the sporting centrepiece of Sicily's capital city.

The stadium's history is intimately linked with Palermo's journey through the upper tiers of Italian football. During Palermo's golden era in Serie A throughout the 2000s and 2010s, the Barbera regularly attracted crowds in excess of 30,000 for important matches, and the passionate Sicilian tifoserie created an intimidating atmosphere for visiting sides. The stadium hosted Italy national team training sessions and friendly matches over the years, recognising its quality as a venue. Palermo reached the UEFA Cup quarter-finals during this period, bringing European football to the Barbera and giving Sicilian fans nights to remember against continental opposition.

Following Palermo's well-documented financial difficulties and multiple relegations in the 2010s, the club eventually relaunched under new ownership and began the process of climbing back through the Italian football pyramid. Renovation works have been undertaken at the Barbera to maintain its condition, though the full restoration of the stadium to its former grandeur remains a work in progress. The ground continues to be a source of enormous pride for the city of Palermo, and on big matchdays the passion of the Palermo faithful fills the stadium with an intensity that reflects the deep football culture of Sicily.
