Stavanger, Jåttåvågveien 11A, Jåttåvågen 15,900 capacity

Viking FK plays at Viking Stadion, located in Stavanger, the oil capital of Norway on the southwest coast of the country. The stadium opened in 2004 and has a capacity of 16,300 spectators, replacing the old Stavanger Stadion that had served Viking for most of their history. Named directly after the club, Viking Stadion was purpose-built to modern standards and sits in a city that has been transformed by the offshore oil and gas industry into one of Norway's most prosperous urban centres. The ground serves not only as Viking's home but as the principal football venue for the Rogaland region of southwestern Norway.

Viking FK is one of Norwegian football's most historic clubs, winning eight Norwegian championship titles and appearing regularly in European competition since the 1970s. The club participated in the UEFA Cup and European Cup on numerous occasions during their golden years, bringing clubs from across Europe to Stavanger for competitive matches. The old Stavanger Stadion and later Viking Stadion have hosted these European fixtures, giving Norwegian supporters in the west of the country the chance to watch top continental opposition. Viking's most recent championship, in 2021–22, was celebrated with tremendous pride across Stavanger and confirmed the club's return to the top of Norwegian football.

Viking Stadion's modern facilities have established it as one of the better grounds in the Eliteserien, with good sight lines, covered seating, and facilities that make it a competitive-standard venue for both domestic and European competition. The stadium and Stavanger's oil-generated prosperity have helped Viking attract investment and maintain the kind of professional operation expected of a club with their history. On big matchdays, particularly during title challenges and European qualifying campaigns, Viking Stadion generates an impressive atmosphere that reflects the genuine passion for football that exists on Norway's southwestern coast.
